About us
The oldest active local program in Miss America.
The Miss Philadelphia Scholarship Organization, a 100% volunteer-based organization, is the oldest active local competition within the Miss America program — the largest provider of scholarships for women in the country.
Miss Philadelphia and Miss Philadelphia's Teen serve as role models and ambassadors for the city. Together they make nearly 100 appearances each year for charitable organizations and their own community service initiatives, and represent Philadelphia at Miss Pennsylvania and Miss Pennsylvania's Teen.
2026 marks our 105th anniversary. Three Miss Philadelphias have gone on to win Miss America.
